The Bay Hill Club & Lodge is a private golf club ownd by Arnold Palmer, located in Orlando Florida. Bay Hill’s championship 18 hole golf course, which opened for play in 1961, is an annual stop on the PGA Tour as the Bay Hill Invitational. Arnold Palmer fell in love with the course in 1965 when he, Jack Nicklaus, Don Cherry and Dave Ragan were invited to Bay Hill for an exhibition match. Soon afterward Palmer began efforts to take control of the club, culminating in his 1976 purchase of the Bay Hill Club & Lodge. Since then, Bay Hill has been the winter home of the Palmer family.
